Description

The lighthouse of the Le Casematte winery was born in vineyards located in the splendid scenery of the Strait of Messina, in the Faro Superiore area.

It is produced with Nerello Mascale, Nerello Cappuccio, Nocera and Nero d'Avola grapes, harvested by hand starting from the third week of September. After fermentation the wine ages in French oak barrels for 9 months and then another 6 months in bottle.

The Lighthouse of the Le Casematte winery is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with pleasant sensations of ripe red fruit, enriched with notes of pepper and nutmeg. On the palate it is a wine of great balance, fruity, with thick and elegant tannins. The wine has a long and persistent finish.

Awarded the highest awards, this fine label is perfect to accompany grilled red meats and game. Ideal also in combination with noble poultry and aged cheeses.
