Description
Caucinum red wine is produced by Poderi Trabucco Aurilio, a family business located on the slopes of Mount Massico. The first Falerno wine labels were produced at the end of the 19th century.
It is made up of Aglianico grapes, with a small addition of Piedirosso and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The grapes undergo destemming and crushing, and are then vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks. The aging takes place in oak barrels and tonneaux for at least 18 months.
Intense ruby red in colour, it reveals aromas of violets, red and black fruits to the nose, with a delicate spiciness. The sip is warm and full, with excellent persistence.
Excellent together with grilled red meats and baked pasta.
