Description

This Etna Rosso Nicosia Reserve between origin from the lava terraces of the ancient Monte Gorna vineyard.

The grapes are harvested and crushed, then left to macerate at low temperature for 24 hours. The must ferments on contact with the skins for 3 weeks at a controlled temperature of 22 ° C. After the malolactic fermentation in barrique, it ages in steel and then in second and third passage French oak barriques for 24 months, then it remains to refine for a long period in bottle.

It is a wine of beautiful cloth, ruby red in color tending towards garnet. The nose denotes great complexity, with aromas of licorice and dog rose that blend with persuasive notes of dried fruit. In the mouth it reveals a soft tannin, but also a lot of structure and elegance that blend in a harmonious and persistent taste.

Magnificent with medium-long aged cheeses and all feathered game. Recommended with a Cacciatore rabbit.
