Description

The Etna Rosso by Tornatore was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, on the north side of the Etna volcano.

It is obtained from a skilful blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand between the second and third ten days of October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in concrete tanks at a controlled temperature of 22-25 °C, for 10–12 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for 12 months in wooden barrels and for another 3 months in bottle before being placed on the market.

Etna Rosso by Tornatore is characterized by a light ruby red colour, with light violet reflections. The nose opens with evident hints of morello cherry and black cherry. In the mouth, it is full-bodied and structured, with balanced tannins that accompany towards a long and savoury finish.

Perfect for accompanying roasts, it is ideal in combination with stewed meats and white meats.
