Description
A disruptive and exuberant wine, Etna Sul Vulcano Rosso, amazes for its elegance that reflects the typical characteristics of Etna; was born in the lands of eastern Sicily, on the north side of Etna, between Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia, from Nerello Mascalese grapes, the main black grape variety of the prestigious Etna denomination, and a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio. The sandy soil with lava impasto gives the wine a savory, mineral and saline character. After the manual harvest of the grapes in boxes, in which only the best grapes participate, the fermentation takes place in steel with maceration on the skins for 8-10 days at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C. It ages for 14 months, partly in the tank and partially in French oak and for a further 7 months in bottle.
A splendid light ruby red color illuminates the glass, prelude to an elegant bouquet with notes of red fruit, such as raspberry and cherry, and floral hints of violet; delicate nuances of spices are added, including cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate it is fresh and well-structured, with ripe tannins and a balanced and persistent finish.
Perfect with appetizers and Mediterranean dishes based on aubergines or mushrooms, it will be ideal in combination with roasted or stewed meats.
