Description

The Dea Vulcano Donnafugata is an Etna Rosso made with Nerello Mascalese grapes and, in small quantities, Nerello Cappuccio.

After the careful harvesting in the vineyard and the selection of the grapes, the fermentation in steel includes a maceration on the skins for 8-10 days at a temperature of 25 ° C. The wine is aged for 14 months in concrete tanks and partly in French oak. There is also a refinement of at least 10 months in the bottle before being marketed.

With a light ruby red color, it unfolds a refined bouquet on the nose with red fruits such as wild strawberries and floral notes of violet and rose, before giving way to touches of black pepper and sweet tobacco. Great fragrance on the palate that integrates freshness and body, with pleasant tannins and a balanced and juicy finish.

Excellent with appetizers based on cured meats and semi-aged cheeses, it is also to be chosen with Mediterranean dishes based on vegetables or mushrooms, meats and legumes.
