Description

Etna Rosso Villa dei Baroni by the Carranco farm is a red wine produced in Castiglione di Sicilia, in the Contrada Carranco, on the northern slope of Etna, Sicily. Composed mainly of Nerello Mascalese grapes and a small part of Nerello Cappuccio, it is a wine with a strong and complex character, which reflects the unique climate and the rich composition of the soil of its cultivation area.

The vinification takes place in cement tanks at controlled temperatures between 24 and 26°C, followed by an aging of about 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels. This process allows to develop a balanced structure and an aromatic complexity, maintaining a good freshness and a long-lasting taste persistence.

It has a typical ruby red color. The nose reveals clear hints of red fruits such as strawberry and black cherry, accompanied by spicy notes of black pepper and rhubarb. In the mouth it is structured and balanced, with savory and silky tannins that give a nice persistence. Over time it also develops more evolved and tertiary notes.

This red wine pairs perfectly with grilled red meats and mature cheeses.
