Description
The Etna Rosso Passorosso of the Passopisciaro winery comes from vineyards located at different altitudes, in the districts of Malpasso, Guardiola, Santo Spirito, Favazzo and Arcuria, on the north side of Etna.
It is obtained entirely from Nerello Mascalese grapes, harvested around the second half of October. Fermentation takes place for 15 days in steel tanks. Followed by aging for about 18 months in large oak barrels.
In the glass it has a bright ruby red color. The nose releases elegant hints of citrus and red fruits, which during its evolution leave room for aromas of camphor, sandalwood and spices. In the mouth it is crisp and savory, with a pleasant softness and persistence.
Perfect in the company of first courses with meat sauce, it goes very well with roasts and stewed meats.
