Description
The Etna Rosso of the Muruasiccu winery is born on the volcanic soils of the slopes of Etna, from the Curve vineyard, in the locality of Solicchiata.
The wine is produced from Nerello Mascalese (90%) and Nerello Cappuccio (10%) grapes, harvested manually in the second half of October. Once de-stemmed, the grapes are fermented in truncated cone steel tanks for up to 15 days. Ageing takes place in French oak tonneaux for at least 12 months and continues for at least 3 months in the bottle.
Ruby red in colour, the nose is expressed with aromas of red fruit and delicate spicy notes. The taste is fresh and warm, with good persistence.
It goes very well with baked pasta and grilled meat.
