Description
Cuordilava Donnafugata was born on the northern slope of Etna, in Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia. It is part of the Dolce&Gabbana and Donnafugata collection, a partnership between two ambassadors of Made in Italy.
The wine is produced with 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes. The grapes are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks with a maceration on the skins for 10-12 days. The wine obtained is aged for over 12 months in French oak barrels and for at least 24 months in the bottle.
Ruby red in color, the nose reveals aromas of red fruits and plums, lavender and undergrowth. The sip is fresh and enveloping, with an elegant and persistent finish.
It goes well with mushrooms, legume soups and red meats.
