Description

The Etna Rosso Borrigliona 211 from Neri is an intense and structured red wine, produced in the Contrada Borrigliona on volcanic soils at an altitude of 800 meters. This wine is primarily made from Nerello Mascalese and other indigenous white and black grape varieties, sourced from vineyards over 90 years old.

Vinification occurs through traditional red methods, with manual punching down in open fermenters and a maceration period of 10-15 days. Aging takes place for 14 months in second and third passage French oak barrels, ensuring elegance and complexity. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with selected yeasts to enhance the organoleptic characteristics of the wine.

In ruby red color, it presents an intense and complex bouquet on the nose, characterized by notes of sweet spices and Mediterranean underbrush. On the palate, it is balanced, with well-integrated tannins and great length.

It pairs perfectly with flavorful first courses, grilled or roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
