Description
The Etna Bianco Tenuta San Michele di Murgo was born in the vineyard of the same name, located in Santa Venerina, in the province of Catania.
This wine is made with Carricante, Catarratto Bianco and other complementary varieties, selected from the best parts of the vineyard and harvested only in favourable vintages. After the maceration and fermentation process with selected yeasts, the wine is assembled and left to evolve in French oak barrels for 6–7 months. Bottle ageing follows for at least 3 months before being placed on the market.
It is characterized by a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. It proves to be very delicate and elegant on the nose, with notes of broom, slightly unripe fruit and mineral aromas, mirror of the soil near the volcano. In the mouth it is ample and harmonious, with well perceivable and pleasant fruity notes.
Excellent with fresh goat or medium-aged cheeses, it goes well with tasty dishes based on fish or shellfish. Special with Catalan lobster.
