Description

Merengő Egri Bikavér Superior red wine is the most representative wine of the St. Andrea company. This wine, better known as "Bull's Blood", was born in Hungary, in the Eger wine region.

It consists of Franconia (locally called Kékfrankos), Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Noir grapes, which are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks. The wine subsequently ages in French oak barrels for 16 months.

Intense ruby red in colour, it reveals aromas of currants, blueberries and berries, in addition to notes of undergrowth. The sip is fine and broad, with great structure and long persistence.

It pairs well with structured red meat and game dishes, for example stewed wild boar.
