Description
Tenuta Cucco's Dolcetto d'Alba comes from the Bricco Voghera sub-area, located in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba. The land is characterized by a limestone-clay composition, an exposure to the east and a height of about 370–400 meters above sea level.
The harvest takes place manually during the month of September. A fermentation at a temperature of 26 °C and a maceration period of 5–6 days precede the malolactic fermentation after which a particular ageing is not necessary to enhance the organoleptic characteristics of the product.
In the glass it is intense ruby red with purple hues. The nose shows a fruity character of small berries, enriched by floral sensations of dried rose and wild violet. On the palate, it offers a dense but at the same time delicate texture and a texture similar to velvet.
It goes well with many dishes, especially first courses and meat appetizers.
