Description
Dolcetto d'Alba Le Rose is produced by Fratelli Barale, a winery that has been producing wine in the municipality of Barolo since the end of the 19th century. Today Eleonora and Gloria Barale lead the company.
The grapes are normally harvested at the beginning of September, to then be de-stemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in thermoregulated steel tanks and with indigenous yeasts, while maceration on the skins lasts about a week. The wine then ages briefly in oak barrels.
Intense ruby red in color with purple reflections, the wine has intense aromas of ripe fruit, berries and rose hips on the nose. The sip is dry, slightly tannic and full-bodied.
This Dolcetto goes very well with appetizers and first courses, for example with tagliatelle with meat sauce or lasagne.
