Description
The Sauvignon Blanc of the De Grendel company is produced in South Africa in the Cape Town area with 100% grapes.
The manual harvest of the grapes takes place over a period of three weeks by separating the different plots. After pressing, the must remains in contact with the skins for about 6 hours before being decanted and fermented in a vat at 14 °C for 22 days. The subsequent contact with the lees lasts 80 days to allow the wine to gain body and flavour before bottling.
Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections, it has great intensity on the nose with notes of pear, melon, lime, passion fruit and vegetable references to sage and thyme. The excellent acidity on the palate makes it vibrant and refreshing, with an abundance of vegetable aromas and a long persistence.
Perfect to accompany grilled salmon, fried fish, shellfish-based first courses and chicken salad.
