Description
The Custodian from D'Arenberg winery is made with 100% Grenache grapes in McLaren Vale in South Australia.
The vinification begins with a soft pressing and fermentation takes place in open vats while in part the wine is transferred to French and American oak barrels to continue fermentation and begin maturation for a duration of 9 months. The wine does not undergo clarification and filtering.
Of a beautiful ruby red of medium intensity, it has notes of plum, rhubarb, blueberry on the nose with a finish of wet earth and sweet spices. On the palate it is dense and compact, with a recognizable texture of red fruits and spices finished by pleasant tannins before a medium-long finish.
Perfect for first courses with elaborate sauces and red meats cooked in the oven or on the barbecue.
