Description
Bailly Lapierre's Crémant di Bourgogne Chardonnay Brut was born in Burgundy, in one of the most famous French wine-growing areas. The winery is a cooperative that since the 1970s has brought together 71 winegrowers from the area.
Crémant is a Blanc de Blanc that is made up of 100% Chardonnay grapes. The harvest is manual; the grapes are placed in 45 kg crates so as not to damage the bunches. The vinification proceeds with a soft pressing, alcoholic fermentation and aging of about 16 months.
In the glass the wine is bright straw yellow, with a fine and persistent perlage. The olfactory profile is composed of floral and fruity scents: white flowers, white and yellow fruit (apple, pear, pineapple), to which are added notes of chalk and bread crust. On the palate the Crémant is dry, fine, with a good balance between freshness and minerality. It closes with a fruity finish with good persistence.
Crémant can be drunk as an aperitif, but can also be paired with cold cuts appetizers, as well as risotto and fish first courses.
