Description
The Claux Rouge by Domaine Usseglio Raymond & Fils is a blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre, coming from a single parcel located in Saint Geniès de Comolas, on the left bank of the Rhône.
The vinification involves a three-week maceration with delicate pumping over, followed by aging half in cement vats and half in foudres.
The wine presents an expressive bouquet of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, with spicy notes. On the palate it is silky and fresh, with purity of red and black fruits and spices such as black pepper and liquorice.
It pairs perfectly with roast meat dishes or mature cheeses.
