Description
The Olivier Ravoire Banderet is a white wine from the Ravoire winery, which has been producing wines in both the Rhône Valley and Provence for generations, with 2 locations, one in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and one in Salon-de-Provence. With the Olivier Ravoire line, dedicated to Captain Ravoire who lived in the 16th century, the winery wanted to underline the ancient history of the family, while the name Banderet refers to the ancient banners of the knights of the Ravoire family.
After the manual harvesting of the grapes, they are crushed and then de-stemmed, with a cold maceration and subsequent soft pressing. The must obtained is finally vinified at a low temperature, and then rests on the fine lees for 3 months, again in steel tanks.
From the classic straw yellow color with golden reflections, the nose reveals floral aromas of acacia, peach jam and citrus. The sip is full and ample, with a long aromatic finish.
Ideal in combination with shellfish-based dishes, grilled fish and white meats.
