Description
The Pinot Noir En Barberon is produced by Domaine André et Mireille Tissot, located in Montigny Les Arsures, in the Jura region. The winery was founded in 1962 by André and Mireille and is now managed by their son Stéphane Tissot and his wife Bénédicte, who cultivate the 35 hectares of vineyards following the principles of biodynamic agriculture. All the wines of the Domaine have a low dose of added sulphites, compared to the average of most wines.
It consists exclusively of Pinot Noir grapes, which are vinified with spontaneous fermentation and whole bunch maceration for a month. The wine ages in 228l oak barrels (30% new) for one year.
Pale ruby red in colour, it expresses aromas of wild berries and spices on the nose. The sip is dry, with very fine tannins and a persistent finish.
It goes well with stewed meats.
