Description
Miraval Rosé is the first rosé wine to appear in the Wine Spectator Top 100, the result of the millionaire investment of the Jolie-Pitt couple in Provençal terroir and the precious collaboration of the internationally renowned French oenologist Marc Perrin. The Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah grapes come from the best plots located around the village of Correns, Muriers, Longue and Romarin, just north of Brignoles.
The harvest takes place in the coolest hours of the morning with double sorting. Vinification takes place with short maceration for all varieties, except for the Syrah extracted with the "saignee" method from free-run must in the early stages of maceration intended for red vinification. Fermentation follows in steel tanks under controlled temperature conditions and for a small part in oak barrels.
It shines in the glass with a seductive, clear and delicate rosé appearance. The olfactory profile focuses on fragrant and evocative aromas of orange peel and rosé grapefruit. The taste is inviting and fresh, with incomparable elegance, harmonious and delicate, an undisputed example of the exceptional Provençal terroir.
It is suitable as a refined aperitif or in the company of oysters and fish-based first courses.
