Description
Produced in the municipality of Suvereto, Tuscany, the Vermentino Gualdo del Re is born from vineyards cultivated on soils composed of clay, sand, and silt. The climate and characteristics of the territory allow for the production of a white wine of great expression and typicity, highlighting the peculiarities of this Mediterranean grape variety.
The vinification begins with a cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages for nine months in steel, with periodic bâtonnage to enrich its structure and complexity. After bottling, it rests for at least another nine months before being marketed, thus reaching a perfect harmony.
With a bright straw-yellow color, it offers a varied aromatic bouquet, with elegant floral notes of yellow flowers and fruity hints of peach and citrus. On the palate, it stands out for its richness and complexity, with a perfect balance between freshness and sapidity, accompanied by a long tasting persistence.
Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs magnificently with oysters, shellfish, and baked fish.
