Description
The Costa d'Amalfi Rosso di Marisa Cuomo originates in vineyards located in the municipalities of Cetara and in the hamlet of Raito di Vietri sul Mare, in the province of Salerno.
It is produced with Piedirosso grapes (locally called Per 'e Palummo) and with Aglianico grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in the first ten days of October. Following the destemming, the must ferments for 10-12 days with maceration on the skins. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine ages for 8 months in French oak barrels.
In the glass it has a bright ruby red color. On the nose, hints of morello cherry and raspberry predominate, which later leave room for intriguing sensations of black pepper. In the mouth it proves harmonious and persistent, with elegant tannins.
The Costa d'Amalfi Rosso by Marisa Cuomo divinely accompanies all courses based on red meats and aged cheeses, but also cold cuts and cold cuts.
