Cortona Syrah DOC Tenuta Montecchiesi Klanis 2018 Dal Cero

The Cortona Syrah Klanis of Cantina Dal Cero was born in the Montecchiesi estate, located on the Tuscan hills south of Arezzo, on the border with Umbria.

It is produced exclusively with Syrah grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. After a scrupulous selection of the bunches, the best grapes are placed in stainless steel tanks for fermentation, at a controlled temperature of 25 - 28 ° C, followed by maceration at 28 ° for about 10 - 15 days. The wine is then aged for 16 months in barriques and oak barrels, always at controlled temperature, and then in bottle for 8 - 10 months.

Klanis is characterized by an intense purple color, bright and very consistent. The nose has aromas of ripe fruit, in particular plums, blackberries, currants and blueberries, enriched with nuances of candied fruit, chocolate, vanilla and toasted hazelnuts. In the mouth it reveals a very well blended tannic mass, balanced by a balanced level of alcohol and a correct acidity. Very long aromatic persistence, very intense.

Perfect to accompany tasty first courses, this wine is ideal in combination with grilled red and white meats.
