Cortona Rosso Achelo La Braccesca by Marchesi Antinori was born in the estate of the same name, located between Montepulciano and Cortona.
It is produced with Syrah grapes, harvested in mid-September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for 10 days. Subsequently the wine partially ages in barriques and steel tanks for about 7 months, before being bottled.
Achelo is characterized by an intense purplish red color. The nose opens with hints of red fruits, enriched by pleasant spicy notes of tobacco and pepper. On the palate it is full and soft, with balanced acidity and a pleasantly fruity aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
