Description
Pierre Girardin's Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru La Croix comes from vines over 70 years old distributed around the municipality of Aloxe-Corton.
Fermentation starts with indigenous yeasts. The refinement takes place in entirely new oak barriques for 12 months, followed by further refinement in stainless steel for 8 months.
It appears straw yellow in color with slight golden reflections. The sense of smell is intense and intriguing, with a symphony of aromas ranging from tropical fruit to hazelnut and grapefruit. On the palate the wine is tense, compact and mineral.
It is particularly suitable for pairing with refined dishes based on white meat and seafood.
