Description
The Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru from Domaine Antonin Guyon is a prestigious white wine produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. The vineyards are mainly located in the commune of Aloxe-Corton, with a perfect southern exposure and on white marl soils.
The grapes are hand-picked in small crates and carefully selected in the cellar. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures in oak barrels, with pumping over twice a week to improve the structure and aromatic complexity. The refinement lasts 18 months in oak barrels, some of which are new, to develop elegance and depth.
This wine has a splendid bright gold-green color, with aromas of lime, acacia and honey. On the palate it is extremely pure, mineral and complex, with a remarkable finesse and a long persistence that enhances its unique and rich personality.
It is ideal with shellfish such as lobster, creamed white meats or foie gras.
