Description
The Corton Grand Cru Les Renardes from the Parent domain is an excellent example of wine made from Pinot Noir grapes, coming from the clay-limestone soils of the prestigious Corton denomination.
The grapes are harvested manually and subjected to a pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature for 3-5 days. This is followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature for 18-20 days and refinement for 16-18 months in half new oak barrels.
It has an intense and brilliant garnet red color. The nose is broad and complex, with notes of black fruits that leave room for delicate nuances that recall mushrooms and undergrowth. In the mouth, it is powerful and fleshy, well balanced, with fine and elegant tannins that lead towards a noteworthy finish.
It is perfect in combination with second courses of red meat and mature cheeses.
