Description
The Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge is a distillate that was born in the historic site of Neauphle-le-Château, a small city outside Paris. This liqueur is composed of a blend of 51% cognac from the best crus from the municipality of Cognac and 49% bitter orange liqueur Citrus Bigaradia, according to the ancient recipe of 1880 by its inventor Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle.
Deep amber color with topaz nuances, this liqueur opens to the nose with typical hints of citrus and candied fruit, with a slight spicy hint of vanilla. The taste is also characterized by the evident predominance of bitter orange with caramel and hazelnut notes, for a long and harmonious finish.
Perfect to serve smooth on the rocks, the Cordon Rouge is also perfect as a base for tasty fresh and citrus drinks.
