Description
Conti Costanti is a historic estate in Montalcino which is based on the south-east side of the famous hill, with splendid vineyards cultivated in a very ventilated area, at an altitude between 300 and 450 meters above sea level, on stony soils and rich in marl.
At the end of the harvest, the Sangiovese grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for a couple of weeks. The refinement foresees 18 months in French oak tonneaux, 18 months in large barrels and 12 months in bottle.
Ruby red in color, it has an elegant and fine olfactory profile, with aromas of ripe cherries, aromas of small red fruits, delicate hints of medicinal herbs and spices. A ripe fruit and velvety tannins, give a harmonious sip and a persistent finish.
To be combined with first courses with meat sauce, roasts and grilled meats.
