Description
The Conero Riserva Campo San Giorgio di Umani Ronchi was born in vineyards located in the Ancona municipality of Osimo, in the Marche region.
It is produced entirely with Montepulciano grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand after the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in steel fermenters at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C, with autochthonous yeasts for 14-16 days. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in small wooden barrels and for another 6 months in second and third passage tonneaux. After bottling, this wine continues its aging in a temperature-controlled environment for 8-10 months.
Campo San Giorgio di Umani Ronchi has a very intense ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose opens with evident hints of ripe cherry, plum and orange peel, enriched with elegant notes of licorice and vanilla. On the palate it is concentrated and enveloping, with velvety tannins that accompany towards a long and persistent finish, with notes of aromatic herbs.
Perfect to accompany important red meat dishes, it is ideal in combination with game and game, seasoned and spicy cheeses.
