Description
The Condrieu "La Doriane" by E. Guigal is a white wine of great intensity, produced from grapes coming from five of the most exceptional terroirs of this noble appellation. This wine stands out for its wide aromatic palette and a round and fleshy mouth, supported by a pleasant freshness. The vineyards benefit from meticulous care, embodying the legacy of centuries of viticulture on an exceptional terroir.
The wine is made from 100% Viognier, with vines of approximately 35 years of age. The vinification and aging take place exclusively in small new oak barrels for approximately 8 months, with complete malolactic fermentations. The refinement continues for a total of 12 months in new barrels, giving the wine a rich and complex structure.
At sight, the Condrieu "La Doriane" has a pale golden yellow color, brilliant and very clear. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of white flowers, apricot and white peach. On the palate, it combines freshness, roundness, richness and a certain fatness, with a very marked expression of the terroir and great finesse and freshness. The harmony between the low acidity and the fruit wrapped in a fleshy roundness is evident.
This wine pairs perfectly with foie gras, a truffle omelette and delicate fish.
