Description
The Collio Pinot Bianco Santarosa by Castello di Spessa is a white wine that originates from the Capriva del Friuli area, an area that benefits from the characteristic ponca soil, composed of alternating layers of marl and sandstone.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, allowing the varietal characteristics of the Pinot Blanc to be kept intact. The maturation then continues partly in barrique and partly in steel until March, enriching the wine with complexity and structure, followed by a further period of refinement in the bottle.
At sight it presents an inviting straw yellow color embellished with golden reflections. On the nose it stands out for its breadth and intensity, with notes ranging from tropical to bread crust. The palate is refined, notes of yeast, pear and nuances of acacia flowers are recognisable. The soft and velvety texture ends with excellent persistence.
Ideally paired with fish-based appetizers, seafood risottos and pasta dishes or vegetable soups, it is capable of enhancing the flavors, offering a balanced and nuanced tasting experience. A wine that celebrates elegance, perfect for accompanying moments of conviviality and special occasions.
