Description
The Friulano Collio DOC of the Schiopetto company is made with 100% Friulano grapes.
Wine made from grapes grown in ventilated hilly areas and on predominantly marly soils of Eocene origin. The harvest of these grapes is manual, followed by soft pressing and a short decanting period. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature. The production process ends with a further refinement on the lees of 8 months and 5 months of rest in the bottle.
Straw yellow in color with golden reflections, it has intense aromas of pear and apricot, almond notes and aromas of wildflowers. On the palate it is savory and slender, with fruity returns and great freshness that anticipate an excellent persistence.
Ideal to open the meal with cheese and ham, it goes well with asparagus-based dishes and oriental dishes.
