Description
Villa Russiz is one of the largest farms in the Collio area of Gorizia. His Collio Cabernet Sauvignon is born on a marly soil, on the vineyards located around the company.
The grape harvest is manual and the grapes are transported quickly to the cellar to proceed with the vinification. After destemming and pressing, the must is fermented for about 15 days. The maturation then takes place in small 225 l French oak barrels for about 12-15 months. Finally the Cabernet Sauvignon is assembled in steel tanks and then left in the bottle for 5 months.
Intense ruby red color. On the nose aromas of wild berries and spices. In the mouth you can feel the soft tannins and the good acidity of this Cabernet Sauvignon.
To be enjoyed in combination with savory first courses seasoned with meat sauces, grilled and roasted red meats, for example with a roast in plum sauce.
