Description
The Pinot Nero Roccolo by Serafini & Vidotto is a wine produced in the Treviso hills, more precisely in Nervesa della Battaglia. It is made exclusively with Pinot Noir grapes, coming from vineyards grown on clayey soils with rich ferrous components, above a deep base of sandstone rock. The care given to this wine earned it the recognition of the Best Pinot Noir in Italy by the well-known critic Daniele Cernilli.
The harvest takes place between the end of August and the first days of September. The aging in wood for up to 13 months gives this Pinot Noir a refined and elegant structure.
Visually it presents a shiny ruby red color. On the nose it offers an intense fruity fragrance, with lively notes of cherries, ripe raspberries and wild strawberries, enriched by floral nuances of violets and tea leaves. This complex olfactory bouquet anticipates a balanced and harmonious tasting experience.
It goes perfectly with braised veal, lamb chops, baked pigeon, and half-matured goat or pecorino cheeses.
