Description
The Colli Toscana Centrale Flaccianello della Pieve of the Azienda Agricola Fontodi was born in the company's vineyards cultivated under organic farming.
It is produced with pure Sangiovese grapes, carefully selected and spontaneously fermented on indigenous yeasts. The grapes are macerated in stainless steel tanks with fullers and thermal control for at least 3 weeks and the malolactic fermentation takes place in barrique. The wine then matures in Tronçais and Allier barriques for 24 months before being bottled.
It is a wine with a very intense garnet red color. The nose opens with toasted hints enriched with notes of ripe red fruits and pleasant shades of violet. In the mouth it is dry, with a robust and very harmonious body.
Perfect to accompany pasta dishes and savory risottos with meat and mushroom sauces, it is ideal in combination with grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
