Description
The Picolit of Vigna Petrussa is a passito wine and originates in vineyards that grow in the Colli Orientali del Friuli on sandstone marls called "Ponka".
The Picolit grapes are harvested by hand and then dried in boxes. This is followed by a short cold maceration, soft pressing and fermentation in French oak barrels. Refinement always takes place in barriques and lasts 18 months.
The wine has an intense golden yellow color. On the nose there is a large bouquet of aromas of flowers, exotic fruit, melon and dehydrated fruit. The sip is soft and creamy, with a long persistence.
Suggested in combination with dry pastries and blue cheeses.
