Friuli Colli Orientali DOCG Picolit 2018 Torre Rosazza

Picolit is a flagship of the Torre Rosazza winery. It is located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli area, known for its great white wines and for this particular fine passito.

Made from 100% Picolit grapes, this dessert wine originates from its own vineyards located in the Oleis di Manzano area, at an altitude of between 120 and 150 meters. The bunches are selected and harvested by hand when you have already entered the autumn season. Subsequently they dry in the fruit cellar for a period of about 60 days, during which they lose 40% of their weight. The pressing of the grapes is followed by a vinification carried out partly inside steel tanks and partly inside wooden barrels.

Its color is golden and bright. The perfume stands on sweet notes of peach, honey and custard. Its entry into the mouth is soft, silky and of great gustatory impact. Sweet but at the same time fresh and savory. The persistence of this passito is very long.

Perfect with foie gras pate.
