Description
Vigna Petrussa's Schioppettno Rinera is a red wine born on the eastern hills of Friuli on sandstone marls called "Ponka", near Prepotto, in the province of Udine.
The Schioppettno grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September and vinified starting with a maceration on the skins with alternating pumping over with délestages. The wine is then aged in steel tanks.
The wine appears of an intense ruby red color. On the nose there is a bouquet of hay, composed of fruit and notes of black pepper. The taste is fresh and moderately structured.
Suggested in combination with vegetable and legume soups and roast pork loin.
