Description
The Schioppettino di Propotto by Vigna Petrussa is a red wine born on the eastern hills of Friuli on sandstone marls called "Ponka", near Prepotto in the province of Udine.
The Schioppettino grapes, a native Friulian vine, are harvested by hand and vinified with a maceration on the skins with alternating pumping over with délestages. The wine is then aged in wooden barrels for 24 months.
The wine appears of an intense ruby red color. On the nose there is a bouquet of berries, cyclamen and black pepper. The sip is soft and elegant, with a long persistence.
Suggested in combination with soup or mushroom risotto, red and roast meats.
