Description
The Colli di Salerno Montevetrano of the homonymous company was born in vineyards located in the municipality of San Cipriano Picentino, in the province of Salerno.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Aglianico grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 20 days with numerous punching down. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques at controlled temperature for about 12-14 months, before being bottled.
Montevetrano is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with pleasant aromas of roses, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of licorice. On the palate it is soft, fresh and sweet, with a pleasantly intense and velvety tannic texture.
Perfect to accompany dishes based on meat and game ragu, it is ideal in combination with roasts and stews.
