Description

Numero Chiuso as the name itself suggests is an exclusive pure Vermentino, "IL VERMENTINO" par excellence, produced in just 2600 bottles only in the years considered to be the best. Paolo Bosoni's intuition, sensitivity and experience are poured into this Ligurian excellence obtained from the chosen vine of its territory, the Colli di Luni. After the Lunae winery has concentrated on maximizing the expression of Vermentino, it now places emphasis on the possibility of tasting it in a more complex and profound version, after a long refinement on its own yeasts has run its course.

It is the result of a refined selection of Vermentino grapes harvested in the most suitable historical areas. After fermentation in a steel tank preceded by a 12-hour cold maceration, the wine undertakes the long-awaited process of evolution which lasts almost 18 months, in the presence of its own yeasts. The wine remains to further refine in the bottle for a further 18 months.

It is characterized by a bright yellow color with slight golden reflections. On the nose it offers an intense and rich bouquet, composed of hints of tropical fruit and fresh summer fruit, such as peach and apricot, together with notes of vanilla and acacia flowers. It envelops the palate in breadth, with an intensity and flavor that are enhanced in a pleasantly long and almondy finish.

Excellent with fish and oyster starters, it goes divinely with fresh cheeses.
