Description
The Niccolò V represents one of the Cru of the famous Ligurian winery Lunae, owned by the Bosoni family. Born from vineyards located in Ortonova, in the province of La Spezia, this wine comes from vineyards with vines with an average age of 40 years.
Obtained from a skilful blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Pollera Nera grapes, harvested by hand in the second half of September, this wine is left for 15 days in contact with the skins, then fermentation in steel. Subsequently the wine ages for 18 months in barrique and for another 6 months in bottle, before being put on the market.
Ruby red in color, with light purple notes, Niccolò V expresses a decidedly complex perfume, with spicy hints of pepper and cinnamon that combine with tobacco and chocolate, up to red fruit jams. In the mouth it is warm, energetic and vigorous. Enveloping like few!
Wine with a great personality, this Cru di Lunae has great aging margins. Extraordinary with important dishes such as braised and stewed, it is perfect to accompany aged cheeses and red meats.
