Description
The Colli della Toscana Centrale Rosso Mazzaferrata dei Marchesi Gondi was born on the estate of Villa Bossi, in Tuscany. This wine of great structure and grandeur recalls, with its name, the warrior origins of the Gondi family.
It is produced from pure Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and selected manually in early October. After fermentation which takes place at controlled temperature, the wine ages initially for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels, for 12 months in barriques and finally for 24 months in bottle before being placed on the market.
Rosso Mazzaferrata is characterized by an almost impenetrable, dense and compact intense ruby red color. The nose opens with a refined bouquet of berries, enriched with sweet and slightly balsamic oriental spices. Shades of leather, coffee and chocolate follow with aging. On the palate it stands out for its great power, with perfectly integrated tannins on a wine that is balanced. This wine is persistent and is capable of reviving the scents perceived by the nose.
Ideal to serve with pigeon meat and with all noble poultry in general, it is excellent to accompany stewed meat and mushroom recipes.
