Description
The Pourriture Noble Blanc Colli della Toscana Centrale by Fattoria di Petreto is a sweet blend of Sauvignon Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, inspired by the prestigious French Sauternes. The vineyards are grown on soils of limestone, clay and sedimentary rocks, with exposure to the east and north-east.
The manual harvest selects bunches and individual grapes affected by the noble mold Botrytis Cinerea, which gives the wine sweet and complex notes. Fermentation takes place in French barriques for 30/45 days, followed by a 12-month refinement in the same barriques, enriching the wine with aromatic and structural nuances.
Visually it stands out for its amber color. On the nose, it releases fine and elegant aromas of honey and citrus fruits, which herald a palate of notable density and velvety texture. The taste is dominated by a long and sweet aftertaste of saffron and honey, balanced by a pleasant freshness that enhances its complexity and pleasantness.
This wine pairs perfectly with blue cheeses, foie gras, dark chocolate and desserts that have a certain acidity, such as apple pies or passion fruit desserts. This wine represents an excellent choice for those who wish to explore intense and refined flavors.
