Description
Tìros di Siddura is a red that wants to give a photo of its land of origin, Gallura, an area already known for the successes achieved with the white grape Vermentino.
It comes from the low hills of the Limbara Hills, in Sardinia, defined by a sandy soil resulting from granite decay. Located at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters above sea level, the vineyards dedicated to Tìros are composed of Sangiovese and Cabernet grapes, present within the blend respectively with percentages of 85% and 15% . Once harvested and de-stemmed, the grapes are softly pressed and sent for alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic fermentation follows in new barriques. Ages for 12 months in French Allier oak barriques.
Ruby red in the glass, it opens into a complex aroma of dark fruit, black cherry, leather and spices. The sip is soft and enveloping, enlivened by a subtle vein of freshness. Fine and complex, it affirms itself with full body and aromatic intensity. Very long finish.
Perfect when paired with stewed wild boar.
