Description
The Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Cuvée Vieilles Vignes of Domaine Ponsot was born in the Morey-Saint-Denis area, right in the center of the famous Côte de Nuits area, between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny.
It is the result of a meticulous winemaking process. Fermentation occurs with maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature. The refinement takes place for 2 years in oak barrels, partly new.
It is a wine with an intense ruby red color. On the nose it offers refined sensations of cherry, blueberry and plum, enriched by notes of violet and delicate spicy hints. In the mouth it is elegant and structured, with pleasant tannins that outline the sip.
Ideal in combination with roasts and game, but also with stewed meats.
