Description
The Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore Riserva Duca Sanfelice was born in vineyards located in the Cirò and Val di Neto areas, on the slopes of the Sila plateau.
It is produced exclusively with Gaglioppo grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand around the first ten days of October. The vinification takes place in thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks, with a maceration lasting 7-10 days. Subsequently the wine ages in the same containers for about 3 years before being bottled.
The Duke Sanfelice of Librandi is characterized by a dark ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with rich and intense spicy aromas, enriched with pleasant hints of cinnamon and licorice. On the palate it is harmonious and velvety, with a pleasant aftertaste of tobacco and licorice.
Perfect to accompany dishes with meat sauce and roasts, it is ideal in combination with stewed red meats, game and mature cheeses.
